Our Year 1 Teaching Team

The teachers in Year 1 are Miss Blockeel (Monday-Wednesday) and Miss Knight (Wednesday- Friday).

Our Year 1 Teaching Assistant is Mrs Halstead.  Miss Ireland, Miss Tyne and Mrs Smith also provide targeted support for individual children at different points throughout the week.

Year 1 are fortunate to have two reading volunteers. Elaine works at Clitheroe health centre as part of the nursing team and Cathy is our former Year 2 teacher, who is now kindly giving up her time to help children learn to read, in her retirement. Thank you to both of these lovely ladies.
