Music Endeavour Badge
Children in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 and 6) work towards their Music badge with a highly skilled member of staff. They have the opportunity to learn to play a range of instruments, among which: recorders and marimbas, with considerable skill.
Recently, children have been learning 'The Chicken Cluck Waddle' and 'Strip Cat Crawl' on their recorders and 'Smoke on the Water' on the marimbas.
The benefits of learning to play a musical instrument are well documented and we note, at Edisford, that music does indeed have a far-reaching impact on children's confidence, productivity and creativity - as well as being simply great fun!
