E-SAFETY

The internet is a wonderful invention and opens the world to us.  It can enhance your education and help you to keep in touch with your friends, but it must be used responsibly.

Remember that help is always available at school if you are experiencing any problems online. If you are having problems online, talk to your parents, your teacher or any other adult at school.

The links below and in the 'Parents: eSafety' section of our website give lots of information about keeping yourself and your friends safe online.

Remember the SMART acronym:

Tips for staying safe online:

· Make sure you keep new online friends strictly online. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend you must ensure an adult knows about it.

· Know how to use the CEOP Button and how to report it to the CEOP Centre if you are concerned about someone’s online behaviour towards you.
